Service la boule – Villeroy Boche Avant Garde
This set of early 1970s tableware, stacks into a neat and tidy ball. Avant Garde by Helen von Boch, serves four and includes plates, side dishes and bowls in different sizes. When the tableware is not needed you simply stack the dishes together to form a curious conversation piece. While I wouldn’t take this particular one to the beach, the idea of a fun portable table service is a good concept. We could see a famous designer producing these for Target next year. Also a great idea for small apartments.
